Hosted by journalist Chris Lambert, Your Own Backyard is a compelling, multi-part documentary podcast that investigates the 1996 disappearance of Cal Poly student Kristin Smart. YOB debuted in 2019, and Lambert’s extensive yet respectful storytelling helped reignite interest in the case after more than 25 years, eventually aiding in the conviction of Paul Flores—the man found guilty of murdering Smart—in March 2023.
